My name is Brad Merritt and I built this site using a popular blogging platform to start a community online. I wanted to keep a collection of my articles, interests, videos, and my random thoughts in one singular place to share with others. I am always coming up with new ideas, new inventions, and new ways to do things – and I have a lot of interests. This site really does not have a singular focus, but hopefully it can provide some information on a topic that might interest you. I am not conventional or ecentric, but I generally flirt the line on both sides, so my interests are very broad in nature. I am very hands-on, I am proactive as opposed to being re-active, and I live by a DIY kind of mentality for everything I do.
What do I do?

Professionally, I am an advertising creative & technical project manager and marketing strategy consultant. I graduated from Michigan State with a BA in Advertising and a minor in Public Relations and also attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Chamapaign. I have been employed as an advertising account executive and advertising project manager for a few large ad agenices including Young and Rubicam, Wunderman, Campbell-Ewald, and Avenue A Razorfish working on fortune 500 accounts. Currently, I am a technical project manager for an eCommerce Solutions provider out of Ann Arbor, MI. Some of the clients I have helped to launch online websites and online marketing initiatives for include Lincoln-Mercury, Chevy, Ford, Kraft, Lumber Liquidators, Meijer, Vera Bradley and AAA.
I guess you can say that I specialize in online website and application development and digital marketing. I am especially knowledgable in the areas of creative and technical web management processes and change control, creative/technical project management models, web development project resourcing, online creative and online trafficking, email marketing, web metrics and analytics, application integration, content management systems, and eCommerce solutions. I also have traditional print and broadcast advertising experience and I am a self taught web and graphic designer.
I am a family-man and loves spending time with my son. I am a hobbiest “jack-of-all-trades”. My hobbies include photography, art and design, woodworking, real estate, motorcycles, and anything web-related. I am also interested in art, architecture, industrial design, fabrication, auto-body work and mechanics.
Feel free to contact me about anything really – feedback, general consulting questions, ideas, or discussions that you feel I could help you out with, or that you can help me out with. Also, please feel free to register with the site, comment, and post as you like. I would love to see a dialogue begin on the site.
